Jon Tabernero is an energy analyst at Cambridge Energy Solutions, where he focuses on tracking market changes across the various ISOs/RTOs and representing those changes within the DAYZER market models. He is responsible for developing new processes and structures for enhancing the accuracy of existing market models through automation using Python.

Mr. Tabernero began his career in 2018 in the financial industry, analyzing financial statements and data, building and operating forecasting models, and conducting research on the semiconductor industry. In 2020, Mr. Tabernero shifted to the energy industry, working as a consultant for Synapse Energy Economics. Mr. Tabernero's work at Synapse was focused on the technical, modeling aspects of engagements within the resource planning, building decarbonization, and offshore wind topics. His work in resource planning consisted of performing capacity expansion and production cost modeling using the EnCompass Power Planning Tool to develop expert research for use in various integrated resource planning dockets across SERC and PJM. His work in building decarbonization focused on leveraging and co-developing Synapse's Building Decarbonization Calculator (BDC) to evaluate progress toward state decarbonization targets. Mr. Tabernero is adept at using Python and was the lead developer of the PREPARE and GreenDashNortheast applications.
